At Model Farm Shop we have a wide range of top quality meats, sourced from local abattoirs. Whether you require a traditional roasting joint or our popular steaks, chops, diced or minced meats, you can be sure to find what you are looking for. We also specialise in African style cuts of meat, freshly sliced on the bone by our expert butchers. In addition to this our dry goods section has recently been expanded and we now have an extensive variety of South African dry goods, which include spices, drinks, biscuits, crisps, maize meal, beauty products and many many more.
Model Farm Shop is a family run farm shop with a unique international flavour, located in the heart of the countryside. We are just 3 miles from the centre of Bradford and just on the edge of the beautiful village of East Bierley.
High customer demand for fresh, locally produced meat, which we prepare in our own cutting plant, prompted us to open up a shop.
Before this customers would telephone their order to the farm and collect it when it was ready.
We added African products to our range when customers asked if we could prepare African style cuts of meat, all of which is sliced with the bones left in to add richness to the flavour of the dishes.
As this became more popular we began to produce our own speciality boerewors sausages, in 3 different flavours – Plain, Chilli & Chakalaka.
Sitting alongside our fresh farm eggs & vegetables we have an extensive range of South African dry goods which include Iwisa, Mazoe, Lobels biscuits, Hodzeko Amasi, just to name a few. You can see more by clicking on our “dry goods gallery” button above.
We also stock an interesting variety of frozen fish such as Tilapia, Catfish, Yellow Croaker, Golden Pomfret and many more.

We have both options available, please speak to a butcher on arrival
Yes we are open bank holidays but shorter hours than usual. We close on Christmas Day & Boxing Day.
Yes we are open 7 days a week, 8-6pm Monday to Saturday and 8-4pm on Sundays
Yes we have ramps on the entrance and exit of our shop, making it easy access for wheelchair users
